Current E-Blast Announcements - September 27    ||     Current Newsletter   October  2021  - 10.1   ||    Event CANCELED - RA Camp-O-Ree - October 8-9, 2021

Welcome to the WCB Ministry and Ministry Center

Webster-Claiborne and Bienville Associations are composed of 60 churches committed to reaching our world for Christ. The Great Commission appearing below, taken from Matthew 28:18-20, provides our orders. We seek to obey our Lord's command thus introducing our world to Jesus Christ

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20  NIV

Our churches are both different and the same. While one church is found at the end of a beautiful, winding, country lane, another is found on main street in the center of town. Some are small, others large. Some are filled with "city-folk", the others filled with "country-folk". Although different in many ways, they are all committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to bring our world to Him.

Thirty-five churches in Webster and Claiborne parishes form the Webster-Claiborne Association. Twenty-five churches in Bienville parish form the Bienville Association. While these two associations have their own officers and ministries, they also share many cooperative ministries as well. The common thread that brings these churches together is the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention. This is a voluntary giving program in which churches combine their strengths to support mission causes around the world. Together these churches support missions through the North American Mission Board, International Mission Board, Louisiana Baptist Convention, and local Associational Missions.

Our state missions director called with an Urgent Need for Power Aide and plastic totes to carry down to Bayou Lafourche. Residents are returning to try to salvage what they can. Still no power, hot, and needing plastic totes to salvage items. This is an immediate need that we can try to meet this week. If your church can help, please let me know by the end of the week.

Have you received an offering for the Georgia Barnette State Mission Offering? Pray and consider a special offering to support our State Mission offering. This offering is essential to mission churches and disaster relief needs throughout our state. Go to https://georgiabarnette.org to learn more.

* We are doing this to limit exposure due to Covid uptick in our area. The original Bienville date was October 4, but is now changed to coincide with Webster-Claiborne on the 17th. Please help pass the word about this. An offering will be received to support Ministerial Scholarships.

Hurricane Disaster Relief: Some churches have sent gifts for us to forward to needed areas. We sent a load of supplies to Robert, LA. We are also sending $6000 to Bayou Baptist Association for Director of Missions Joe Arnold to distribute. Churches can partner with sister churches to assist those damaged by the storm. Would your church like to pull alongside a sister church to help? Please monitor the Disaster Relief Update webpage at wcbcenter.com for information.

Please go to our website at wcbcenter.com and click on the Disaster Relief Update link. This provides updates from the Louisiana Baptist Convention. On that page you will see items that are requested for donation.

You can make donations several ways.

Items can be donated to our mission center. I have a small box trailer set up behind our center. You can place items there after hours. When we are here at the center we are placing items in our big conference room. When we have a load, Pastor Jeff Hoffman will drive the trailer to a distribution point.

You can also donate directly to distribution points, see the Update page for sites. You can also connect to churches down south but be aware certain places will have no power or water for weeks.

You may also want to donate funds. You can do that through your association, simply write a check to your association and write on the memo line Disaster Relief. We will forward the money for you to Louisiana Baptists or if requested to Rolling Hills. You can also donate to Rolling Hills, see their website for instructions.

Volunteers can contact Rolling Hills or connect with Louisiana Baptists or connect directly to South Louisiana Churches and Associations. I can give you contact to associations in need of volunteers.

You can also find a list of Director of Missions on LADOM.org. You may also want to give funds to Georgia Barnette State Mission Offering. Those funds help provide support to our work in Louisiana.

Please feel free to call or text me on my cel, 318-518-8297 if you have questions. Remember, right now, no utilities of any kind in some of the most damaged areas. It will be a minimum of days perhaps weeks for some of those areas to become functional.

Thank you for once again serving. I know everyone is tired, many are burned out, our strength must come from the Lord. Pray, give, as He supplies.

Your Fellow Servant,
Randy R. Hales
