IT IS A NEW DAY AT CAMP HARRIS!   ||    Current E-Blast Announcements - November 15      ||     Current Newsletter   November  2021  - 11.1   ||

Welcome to the WCB Ministry and Ministry Center

Webster-Claiborne and Bienville Associations are composed of 60 churches committed to reaching our world for Christ. The Great Commission appearing below, taken from Matthew 28:18-20, provides our orders. We seek to obey our Lord's command thus introducing our world to Jesus Christ

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20  NIV

Our churches are both different and the same. While one church is found at the end of a beautiful, winding, country lane, another is found on main street in the center of town. Some are small, others large. Some are filled with "city-folk", the others filled with "country-folk". Although different in many ways, they are all committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to bring our world to Him.

Thirty-five churches in Webster and Claiborne parishes form the Webster-Claiborne Association. Twenty-five churches in Bienville parish form the Bienville Association. While these two associations have their own officers and ministries, they also share many cooperative ministries as well. The common thread that brings these churches together is the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention. This is a voluntary giving program in which churches combine their strengths to support mission causes around the world. Together these churches support missions through the North American Mission Board, International Mission Board, Louisiana Baptist Convention, and local Associational Missions.

Together we can do this. Individuals can give, churches can give, businesses or organizations can give. Together we can give and build for a new day. It Is A New Day at Camp Harris (Click on this link to read a letter from our Camp Harris Board) http://www.wcbcenter.com/new-day-camp-harris.html

It’s a New Day At Camp Harris . . . You will be seeing this phrase over and over again for the next few weeks. Camp Harris is looking forward to helping our churches step into a renewed experience with the Lord. In order to do this we need to make some major renovations to our camp. The cost of those major renovations will be north of $600,000. The Camp Harris Board is requesting your help to make this possible. What can you do? You can lead your church to designate 1% of your undesignated receipts to the Camp Harris Building Fund “It’s a New Day at Camp Harris” for the next 3 years.

To put this in perspective… If for the next three years …

9 churches would give $10,800 each, $3600 a year, 300 a month, we would raise $97,200
8 churches would give $8,400 each, $2800 a year, $233 a month, we would raise $67,200
7 churches would give $6,000 each, $2000 a year, $165 a month, would raise $42,000
13 churches would give $3,600 each, $1200 a year, $100 a month, would raise $46,800
15 churches would give $1,800 each, $600 a year, $50 a month, would raise $27,000
The total over three years of giving would be $280,200. Our portion added to the churches in Concord Union Association would be around $600,000.

Please read the attached link to the Camp Harris Board letter outlining our needs and the possibility of raising the funds. Together we can do this with 1% or higher of your undesignated funds. Individuals can give, churches can give, businesses or organizations can give. Together we can give and build for a new day. Call me if you would like me to come talk with your church or finance committee.

Pastors are invited to a prayer breakfast November 4 at the Mission and Ministry Center. We will begin serving around 7:30, drop in anytime between 7:30-9 am, to join the prayer time, enjoy fellowship, and to eat pancakes and sausage. We will pass out Dr. Steve Horn’s new book, “Change Me, A Personal Revival Guide” to use as we pray for and seek revival in our lives. This book will also be distributed at the Louisiana Baptist Convention Meeting November 16 at North Monroe Baptist Church. Dr. Horn, our LBC Executive Director, believes that a true spiritual revival is needed in our country and that it needs to begin in our own hearts. We will repeat this breakfast on Thursday November 11 as we prepare for our LBC State meetings in Monroe.
